The CIFD

The Council of Irish Fashion Designers (CIFD) was imagined and launched by Eddie Shanahan, a long-established doyen of the Irish fashion industry and an advocate of Irish craftsmanship and customer focus. The CIFD exclusive membership include professionals across the accessories, fashion, jewellery and millinery industries. FiorSó’s CIFD profile can be found here.

The DCCI

The Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) is the national agency for the commercial development of Irish designers and makers, stimulating innovation, championing design thinking and informing Government policy. Its vision is that Ireland is recognised and valued for its culture of design and craft.

The GoJD

The Guild of Jewellery Designers is a British nationwide guild for jewellers and silversmiths.  The GoJD is a non-profit making organisation.

The Company of Goldsmiths of Dublin Assay Office

The Dublin Assay Office is the sole Irish hallmarking office in the country and it hallmarks all Irish precious metal jewellery.  It is a legal requirement for jewellery made with these precious metals to be hallmarked, so Irish-based jewellers producing jewellery in one or more precious metals are required to be fully registered with the Office, who will test each piece of jewellery and attest to it’s quality and standard.

The Goldsmiths’ Centre

The Goldsmiths’ Centre is the UK’s leading charity for the professional training of goldsmiths. It brings together emerging and established goldsmiths with those interested in jewellery, silversmithing and the allied industries.
